Wonder Bear Lodge is close to Galena, Apple Canyon Lake, Chestnut Mountain skiing, and Apple River Canyon State Park in northwestern Illinois. It's two hours outside of Chicago - far enough away to enjoy rolling hills and beautiful country and great sunsets, and close enough to drive out on Friday evening after work with the family.

 

Space for family. And friends.

The lodge has 15 beds (6 king beds) and sleeps a maximum of 16 guests. Sit and enjoy a wood fire in the massive stone fireplace. Challenge your sibling to pool, foosball, or air hockey. Hang out in the downstairs den, or the upstairs game room, sit on the back porch, soak in the hot tub, or do laps in the pool (we think 42ft long is enough to do laps).

 

Amenities at Apple Canyon Lake are included. Rent a boat, use the gym, use the heated pool (great for small kids!), go fishing.
